Mondays

Everyone looks tired on Mondays. I asked why. Someone said, “Because it’s Monday.”

I counted. Monday has more beginnings in it than any other day. The first email, the first coffee, the first “good morning” of the week.

Maybe people are tired because beginnings are heavy. You carry everything you haven’t started yet. I’ll keep loving Mondays for them, until they can again.
